Electric heaters are widely used in equipment processing in the machinery industry. The more familiar ones are automatic packaging machines, bag making machines and other equipment, which all require electric heaters for product packaging and processing. Of course, the electric heater may also fail during use, among which the burnout and the short circuit of the internal system of the electric heater are particularly common.
Once the electric heater has a short circuit fault in the internal system, if it is not eliminated in time, the quality and use of the product cannot be guaranteed, and even the internal system of the electric heater will be damaged, causing serious losses. Therefore, we must find a way to avoid the occurrence of internal system failure of the electric heater.
The electric heater is generally controlled by the contacts of the temperature control instrument to control the on-off of its internal AC power supply. When the temperature of the electric heater is lower than the set temperature, the contacts of its temperature control instrument are connected, and the temperature rises; When the temperature of the electric heater is higher than the set temperature, the contacts of the temperature control instrument are disconnected, and the temperature drops to ensure that the electric heater works within a certain temperature range.
If the electric heater is blown out, the operator cannot judge whether the electric heater is powered off normally due to the temperature rise, or the electric heater is powered off due to the heater disconnection failure. Due to the thermal inertia of the heater, the temperature inside the electric heater needs to be delayed for a period of time before it drops, so when the operator of the electric heater finds that the product is unqualified, it has already caused waste and affected the quality of the product.
In this regard, an open circuit detection device should be set up for the electric heater, which can effectively and automatically identify the temperature rise heater power failure and the electric heater open circuit failure, so as to make correct and timely countermeasures to reduce unnecessary failures and losses.
